Memorial Day Weekend

Well this weekend the kids turned out to be sick, so we decided to take it easy for once and stay home!

On Saturday, Alyssa hadn't shown signs of being sick, so Mike brought her to Stepping Stones so I could tend to Mikey. She had such a great time!

Her building project

Guess she takes after her father, the engineer!

They went to enjoy ice cream after!

Then the fever struck Alyssa as well. So Mike and I decided since the Dr. said that fresh air and cool baths were good for them, we bought a small pool that would cover both! They were VERY EXCITED!

Waiting for it to fill up!

Mikey was so excited, he couldn't wait to jump in

.

Can't figure out if he likes the slide

Alyssa did though

We couldn't get him out of here!

Alyssa was sick most of the weekend, while Mikey had it mostly the week before.
She had to "welax so her tummy won't hurt"

The morning of Memorial Day both kids were fever free (YIPPEEE) but still Alyssa was a little out of it. So I asked her if she wanted to go to the parade and she said "YES!" So we waited to see if the thunderstorm would pass, and it did. We walked down the street to wait for the parade to start.

Alyssa loved the firetruck!

.

LIZZIE from "CARS" was there! (Not really, but doesn't it look like her?)

.

Mikey loved waving his flag and dancing along with the flag girls!

These girls were Alyssa's favorite

Time to go!

So we headed back home to relax the rest of the day. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful weekend weather wise! It was great to be able to enjoy it!

Of course we went for a walk to get some ice cream after dinner!

And then we bathed them in the pool!!!!

Until next time,
