The Duarte Family: 11 Months Old!

Here it is...my last blog post before Tyler turns 1 year old! WOW!

11 months old today!

Well he certainly is growing and changing right before my eyes. He is walking around and is so proud of himself when he gets to his destination. He is still cautious in walking, but is definitely pushing himself to walk more.

What a ham he is! He smiles constantly and it's just hysterical how he can start a laughing fit amongst us. He laughs, which makes us laugh, which in turns makes him laugh. And thus the vicious cycle of laughing :)

Tyler really is his own man. He knows exactly what he wants and when he wants it. He is perfectly happy entertaining himself with toys, but when he wants something else, he wants it and is quite persistent until he gets it.

He really is growing into a toddler boy.

Alyssa and Michael are doing well.

Alyssa is still reveling in her hair cut. School is going great for her. I am really pleased with her teacher this year. I am already seeing huge strides in her reading and math progress. She, of course, still pushes herself so I wasn't worried at all. In fact today, a rainy day, her and Michael both insisted on doing extra homework. They worked right up until dinner time!

Michael is also making big strides in his work as well. He is learning site words, and has even started reading! I love watching how proud he gets of himself when he remembers a word and can read a whole page! He is loving school and can't wait to get home and tell me what he's learned. He is very excited that he has Science and Social Studies this year. Those are the 2 subjects I hear most about.

Well that's about it. We've been busy. The weather has been simply perfect. We've been enjoying time with family and friends before the cold sets in. We've also been enjoying time on the boat...our last times, as we just sold it yesterday. :( We are finishing up the playroom/den renovation. Soon we will be tackling the master bedroom windows!
