Well Thursday night was a pretty exciting night for Alyssa.
We went to go see a nursery school for her to possibly attend in the fall.
Laura came over to watch Mikey so Alyssa could get the whole feel of the school and not be distracted by our active little boy!
When we got to the school it was parent pick up. There were parents and kids as soon as you entered the hall. We were surrounded by examples of the children's work and lots of great pictures of the kids doing fun activities. Alyssa was loving seeing all the kids running around. She kept pulling me towards the room where all the kids were, she obviously wanted to play. We had to wait in the hallway though for the Director. As the kids were leaving, Alyssa was smiling and saying bye to them. While we were waiting we talked with a mother, she told us how much she loved this school. That was great to hear!
Once the kids were picked up, the Director gave us a tour of the school and told us about their curriculum, the goals of the teachers, the kids, and about their accreditation. Alyssa was allowed to play with all of the toys in each of the rooms. We practically had to drag her out of one room!
After talking with the Director for about 30 minutes, Mike and I decided we both were impressed and obviously Alyssa liked it, so we signed her up for the fall.
So we are happy to say that Alyssa will be attending nursery school in the fall 2 mornings a week!
Another great thing about this school is they offer a lunch date if we want to enroll on a monthly basis. They also offer enrichment classes after lunch, also on a monthly basis. They range from Yoga to Alphabet activities. So if one month's classes look interesting she can participate in it! Another great thing is it doesn't interfere with her tumbles class, so next year she can still do tumbles!
After we left school, we picked Mikey and Laura up and all went out to dinner to celebrate! We're all very excited!
Until next time,
Mike, Jen, Alyssa, Mikey, and Sammy
