The Duarte Family: 9 months old!

So here we go with the 9 month blog. I know it's a little late, but we had some visitors from Florida with us and I didn't get around to it on time. We had Uncle Chris fly up. Mikey's Godmother Abby also came up to visit along with her husband, Eric, and their 2 kids, Luke (4) and Annabelle (2).

9 months old today!

Summer is here and in full effect! The kids are loving being home. They have become FISH. They spend all day, everyday, in the pool. Tyler enjoys it, but not as much as the older kids do.

Tyler is doing great. We just had his 9 month check up and he is LITERALLY OFF THE CHARTS for height with 32 inches and in the 95th percentile in weight with 23 lbs 14oz. He is growing like a beast. He has already taken his first steps! He only takes 1 step and then plops down. He is much more cautious than Michael, which I am loving, since Michael hit his head on EVERYTHING when learning to walk. Here is a video of Tyler taking a step: Tyler taking a step

1st 4th of July

He loves these kids!

He has 6 teeth total. 2 on the bottom and 4 on the top which you can see when he really gets laughing. The Dr. said he is working on 2 more as well!

CHEESE!

Alyssa has made some huge strides this summer! She has mastered riding a 2 wheel bike! And she can also tie her own shoes. 2 big accomplishments that she is very proud of. She also received her report card and got stellar marks! She got a perfect report card and was evaluated above grade level for reading! Here is a link of her riding a 2 wheeler! Alyssa riding 2 wheels!

Michael is eagerly awaiting to learn 2 wheels, but just doesn't have the coordination yet. In the meantime, he plays basketball and rides around in the powerwheels. He swims laps around Alyssa though. The Y swim lessons really have shown through this summer. He jumps right into the pool and swims underwater like a champ. He is very proud of how long he hold his breath under water. And of course he still loves BATMAN!

Other than that, we can have been trekking it to the beach, enjoying the boat, playing outside, enjoying friends company, and just enjoying this gorgeous summer we have been given this year. School will start soon and the kids couldn't be more excited...me too! We have learned their teacher assignments and are eagerly awaiting the Teacher Meet n Greet in a few days.

Next post will most likely include the kids first days of school! Until then here are some pics from this month.
